INSPIRING LAKES, RIVERS AND FINNISH COUNTRYSIDE - SUMMER AT JAKOLA FARM

The Finnish countryside is worth examining all through the four seasons of the year.  You can take a walk on the peaceful local road, where you won't have much disturbance of traffic - or enjoy the peace and quietness of the forest scenery when walking on the marked paths in the surroundings. Or you can also hire a bike from the farm.

In the summer time Jakola Farm offers incredible experiences for the fishermen.
The various waterways close to the Jakola farm provide fine settings for fishing either you are a devoted fly-fisher or a fisher enjoying peaceful angling with hook and worm. The other summer activities from paddling to shooting the rapids are also connected with water. Moreover, the farm Jakola offers the opportunity for one more physical recreational activity.

PLEASURES OF SNOW –  WINTER AT JAKOLA FARM

Jakola Farm provides good possibilities for cross-country skiing on maintained ski trails in beautiful countryside scenery with snowcovered fields and forests. You can also hire a snowmobile from the farm and drive around safely on the surrounding fields of  the farm.

On the ice of the nearby lakes you can  try your luck with ice-fishing, which is a very popular Finnish winter activity.

In addition, you can make a trip to Saarijärvi, only a half an hours' ride away, and visit the winter sports centre Paavonrinteet,  where you can go downhill skiing and snowboarding - or crosscountry skiing on more challenging trails in the hilly surroundings.
