At Villa Mertala you can enjoy the tranquility of the Finnish nature all the year round. In the summertime you can just enjoy the warm sunshine from the south sitting on the jetty and dipping your toes into the shallow water or just rowing peacefully around on the lake Karankajärvi and admiring the magnificent scenery. On the shore of the lake Karankajärvi you will find a suitable beach also for the youngest family members. The near fishing area of the rapids Heijostenkosket provides a splendid setting for fly-fishing. The holiday site also provides excellent skiing and skating opportunities in the winter season.

Villa Mertala is a high quality round-log villa at the lake Karankajärvi. The large site surrounded by birches and alders provides an ideal setting for families and small groups to spend successful holidays. The area belongs to the provincially valuable Pääjärvi-Hokkalanmäki cultural landscape area.

Villa Mertala provides beds for 6 + 2 persons the indoor size being 114 m2, and up to 153 m2 when the outdoor terrace is being included. 

The spacious kitchen-living room of Villa Mertala suits perfectly for various kinds of conference and family event arrangements. The well-equipped kitchen part is fitted up with a dish machine and a fridge-chiller. You have here three bedrooms with totally six beds, additionally two extra beds in the living room. Sauna, bathroom, 2 toilets, washing machine and drying cupboard for outdoor clothing are included in the house comforts.
